Why? Because there is no such thing as having "too much information" when it comes to your health and wellness. Information and knowledge is power, period. And feeling empowered is everything.
Many of us are living similar experiences, and yet we often feel alone, or even worse - shameful about what we perceive to be an embarrassing problem. When we are embarrassed, we stay silent. Silence breeds shame, and shame makes our struggles even more difficult.
My hope is to help change that. And it starts here!
I want to create a space where NO question is off limits (I really mean it!), where no one feels judged and where you can tune in to learn something, and feel a little seen!
From painful sex, raging hormones, vanishing libido, postpartum vaginal healing, infertility and bladder leaks (been there!) - there is no judgement here. This is about asking the awkward questions and talking with top experts to get the truth - the information you deserve.
We are going there, unfiltered! And I am so excited you're here.

S3 | E30: Money, Motherhood & Female Empowerment with The Rebel Mamas
Tuesday Dec 14, 2021
Tuesday Dec 14, 2021
At the helm of this ship are two women - Nikita Stanley and Aleks Jassem - a pair of former party-girls who got unintentionally pregnant within weeks of each other and went from acquaintances to best friends in a (fetal) heartbeat. In 2014, the two unlikely moms combined their talents and mutual distaste for the typical mommy rhetoric and created The Rebel Mama(.com). Adored by cool moms the world over, the smart and edgy online publication creates a safe and judgement-free space that’s known for its celebration of both individuality and authenticity. Between the two of them, Aleks and Nikita are mamas to three kids, a dog, and a cat. They reside in Toronto, Canada and survive (almost) exclusively on peanut butter sandwiches, Napolitano pizza, and coffee.

Dr. Michelle Nadler is a Medical Oncologist with Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. She's also an Assistant Professor, Clinician in Quality & Innovation at the University of Toronto. In her clinical role, she treats women with breast cancer. From a research perspective, she focuses on cancer-survivorship issues and the role of exercise/rehabilitation in oncology as well as breast cancer screening from women age 40-49. For both of these topics, her focus is on knowledge translation (or dissemination & implementation) - ie how can we ensure that we put the best evidence into routine clinical practice. This is such an important topic - especially considering much of what we are told about breast cancer screening isn't necessarily best practices or evidence based. Listen and learn!
